Archaeological Monitoring on the Upper Liffey Valley Sewerage Scheme, Co. Kildare

Rubicon have undertaken archaeological monitoring in the vicinity of Sallins, Clane, Naas, and Newbridge in Co. Kildare in association with the Upper Liffey Valley Sewerage Scheme (ULVSS) – Phase 3 – Contract 2B – Network. The works include the provision of new gravity sewers and rising mains using both traditional and trenchless construction methods; the provision of storm water storage at three pumping stations; and the upgrading of two pumping stations. The contract also includes the operation of two existing pumping stations during construction and two proposed pumping stations following completion. The completed scheme aims to provide a collection network which is in line with modern practices and compliant with current environmental legislation and sustainability principles.
