An Impact Assessment at Lusk, Co. Dublin
Rubicon Heritage have undertaken numerous archaeological impact assessments the in the historic town of Lusk, North County Dublin. The proposed developments ranged from one off housing, small to medium sized housing estates and apartment blocks. The vast majority of these sites were located in proximity to a number of Recorded Monuments and Places (RMPs) in the centre of the town including: the ecclesiastical centre (DU008-010006-), round tower (DU008-010003-) and medieval church tower (DU008-010004-). As such comprehensive mitigation strategies need to be implemented to ameliorate the impacts of the proposed development on surviving features of archaeological, architectural and cultural heritage.
