An archaeological excavation at Bryanstown, Co. Meath
Rubicon undertook archaeological excavation in advance of a large housing development in Bryanstown, Drogheda. Consultancy with the main contractor was led by a senior archaeologist in order to ensure compliance with the associated grant of planning permission and the timely delivery of all aspects of the archaeological work (fieldworks and subsequent reporting). The work consisted of the excavation of four archaeological areas across the proposed development site ranging from a Bronze Age burnt mound, prehistoric pits associated with settlement and an isolated cremation burial. All of the investigations were conducted to the highest professional standard and in full compliance with all legislation.
