Stephen Hourihan

Stephen Hourihan began work with Rubicon Heritage in 2006 and worked as a site assistant and surveyor on the N7 and N9/N10 road schemes, gaining experience on a wide variety of site types from Mesolithic to post-medieval. He has experience in post-excavation work including archiving, environmental processing, report and publication writing. Stephen has also gained experience in project administration and completed a number of courses in Health, Safety and Welfare. Stephen has been working as a site supervisor in Ireland since 2010. In 2014, he was an assistant director at an excavation of a multi-period site in Southwest Wales, which included Bronze Age, medieval, Roman, and post-medieval remains. Stephen has also been a contributing author in two Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) Monographs; In the Vale of Tralee: the archaeology of the N22 Tralee Bypass (2020) and The Archaeology of Buttevant Town (forthcoming).
