Queensferry Crossing, Scotland

The Queensferry Crossing was constructed over the Firth of Forth between Fife and Lothian to replace the Forth Road Bridge and officially opened on 30th August 2017. As part of the project – carried out by the Forth Crossing Bridge Constructors consortium – Rubicon conducted an earth resistance survey on the southern landfall of the (then proposed) new bridge in South Queensferry. The project involved 14 ha of earth resistance survey, considered a very large survey using this method. The survey was successfully completed, facilitating targeted test excavation.
