DRAX PROJECT PHOENIX, ENGLAND
As part of Drax’s Project Phoenix (a £2 billion initiative to produce 3% of Britain’s energy from biomass), Rubicon conducted geophysical surveys at Immingham, Lincolnshire and Selby, North Yorkshire at the sites of proposed new plants. The fluxgate gradiometer survey results allowed appropriate measures to be taken to efficiently resolve archaeological features prior to construction, thereby reducing potential delays and cost.
