EXCAVATION CASE STUDIES

Rubicon Heritage have carried out thousands of archaeological excavations throughout Ireland, the UK and the continent. We specialise in large scale infrastructural projects, such as the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Carlow Road Scheme where we excavated a total of 166 archaeological sites on behalf of Kildare and Carlow County Councils and the National Roads Authority. Our experience ranges across all types of archaeological site, from prehistoric to post-medieval, rural and urban. We have amassed particular expertise in the excavation of large-scale wetland sites. Below are examples of some of the archaeological excavations Rubicon has undertaken.
