MILITARY ARTEFACT ANALYSIS

Rubicon have conducted analysis on a wide range of military assemblages on behalf of clients such as the National Roads Authority and the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. This has included material fromĀ battlefields such as Kinsale, Co. Cork (1601) and Aughrim, Co. Galway (1691) as well as 17th century siege sites such as Castledonovan, Co. Cork and Clogh Oughter, Co. Cavan. Rubicon are frequently called upon to conduct analysis of objects such as lead bullets and projectiles, and are specialists in interpreting this material for both the archaeological community and the general public.
