ARDREIGH MEDIEVAL CEMETERY, CO. KILDARE, IRELAND

Kildare County Council excavated one of the largest medieval cemeteries in Ireland at Ardreigh, Co. Kildare. Rubicon Heritage Services were commissioned to carry out the osteoarchaeological analysis and produce a final report on the excavation results. This involved managing the processing, analysis and reporting of 1,259 skeletons, a vast quantity of disarticulated material (MNI 322) and a Late Bronze Age urned cremation. A full published monograph on the Ardreigh works are currently being prepared by Rubicon on behalf of Kildare County Council.
